Family trip to Coeur d'Alene

This year Scott's grandparents had a family reunion in CDA. I was excited since I haven't been back in almost ten years.

We ate dinner at a diner in Dillion that Scott and I love, and stopped at four years ago on our way to Montana.

The first night we spent in a Teepee in Butte, Montana.

The boys were so excited they could hardly fall asleep.

We woke up early the next morning and drove to Missoula. The day couldn't have been better. We went on a carousel, played at dragon hallow playground, walked the riverfront trail, and ate yummy pizza with the Wagners.

The carousel conductor told Scott he had to ride with Bentley. Bentley just happened to choose the smallest horse to ride.

After Missoula we drove to CDA and caught up with family on the Spokane River.
We spent the next couple of days on this beach riding boats and wave runners, paddleboarding, and spear fishing.

I even found my dream house.
We were able to meet Aunt Sandy and her two kids Caleb and Sierra. We had a blast we these guys. They held the record for fastest time on a wave runner.
The next morning we took all of the kids to the Couer d'Alene boardwalk while the husbands went mountain biking.
I was able to take my kids to Fort Sherman park, which held a special memory for me because I helped build it when I was in third grade.
And of course we never passed up the opportunity for a huckleberry shake.
Scott and I were able to go on a little bike ride.
Showing off the bump.
I couldn't believe how much has changed. There was a new large playground with a splash pad next to the marina. We even found a free children's carnival.
Snow cones, face painting, and balloon swords, what more could two boys ask for?

On Sunday we went to church with Grammy and Gramps, and had a yummy brunch at our house after.

We had time to find two of my old houses and drive to honeysuckle beach. Dinner was spent with some family friends I grew up with. Of course my favorite moments I never stop to take pictures. It was so fun to relax with good friends. Couer d'Alene was good to us and we hope to come back soon!

We didn't want the trip to end, and I was done driving, so we spent the last night in Idaho Falls. We spent the afternoon swimming in the pool with Ashton, eating yummy Chinese food, and walking along the Snake River with Gram and Papa.

This was definitely one of our favorite family trips.

Perfect day at the Beach

Hope my baby girl gets these lashes. Little heartbreaker.

Sometimes the spontaneous trips are the best. Today it was not too hot or too cold. We went to pineview and were some of the few people on the beach. The boys played in the water, and Scott was able to try out his new spear.

4th of July

We decided to watch our niece Reagan dance in the north Ogden cherry days parade this year. As you can tell we got great seats and the boys had a little too much sugar. Afterwards we had lunch at the north Ogden carnival. Then we hung out with cousins at our house.
This was a picture before the firworks in Willard. We had an amazing dinner at Sarah's and headed over with the whole crew. Gram brought the kids glow sticks and poppers. The firework show was perfect. Even Bentley decided he liked fireworks with a little encouragement from his cousin Colten. All in all we made it home by midnight and didn't stop all day. More fun memories made on another 4th of July.

A little of what we have been up to

June has been filled with sports camps and swimming lessons. This little man has decided to be a little fish this year. He loved jumping of the sides and diving for "sharky". I earned my mommy merit badge in swimming lessons do to inclimate weather and illness, but on the end it was all worth it.
Hudson's class was across the pool so no photos taken. But he learned to do the crawl and play lots of fun water games. His favorite thing about swimming was the lazy river.

Family Pictures from April

These are our family pictures from April.  They were lost, but now they are found.  I was so happy with how they turned out.

I learned that day that B is a big animal lover.  He couldn't stop looking at the rabbits, and wasn't scared for a second.

Bentley had just turned two in this picture.  So I wanted to do a little update on him.  Bentley loves swimming, Oatmeal, playing with his brother, and riding his Thomas the train tricycle.  He is such a talker, and can sing so many nursery songs.  His favorite phrase is" I hate that", and we have been working on learning I don't like it.  He definitely has a stubborn side, but is such a little cuddler. I never question how much he loves me.  Happy belated birthday B.

This picture pretty much sums up my boys.

These superhero pictures are some of my favorites.  I love how much they love each other.  Having them so close was hard, but now I see the benefits of having siblings close together.  They play together all day and hate being apart.  I hope this continues throughout their life.
