Family trip to Coeur d'Alene

This year Scott's grandparents had a family reunion in CDA. I was excited since I haven't been back in almost ten years.

We ate dinner at a diner in Dillion that Scott and I love, and stopped at four years ago on our way to Montana.

The first night we spent in a Teepee in Butte, Montana.

The boys were so excited they could hardly fall asleep.

We woke up early the next morning and drove to Missoula. The day couldn't have been better. We went on a carousel, played at dragon hallow playground, walked the riverfront trail, and ate yummy pizza with the Wagners.

The carousel conductor told Scott he had to ride with Bentley. Bentley just happened to choose the smallest horse to ride.

After Missoula we drove to CDA and caught up with family on the Spokane River.
We spent the next couple of days on this beach riding boats and wave runners, paddleboarding, and spear fishing.

I even found my dream house.
We were able to meet Aunt Sandy and her two kids Caleb and Sierra. We had a blast we these guys. They held the record for fastest time on a wave runner.
The next morning we took all of the kids to the Couer d'Alene boardwalk while the husbands went mountain biking.
I was able to take my kids to Fort Sherman park, which held a special memory for me because I helped build it when I was in third grade.
And of course we never passed up the opportunity for a huckleberry shake.
Scott and I were able to go on a little bike ride.
Showing off the bump.
I couldn't believe how much has changed. There was a new large playground with a splash pad next to the marina. We even found a free children's carnival.
Snow cones, face painting, and balloon swords, what more could two boys ask for?

On Sunday we went to church with Grammy and Gramps, and had a yummy brunch at our house after.

We had time to find two of my old houses and drive to honeysuckle beach. Dinner was spent with some family friends I grew up with. Of course my favorite moments I never stop to take pictures. It was so fun to relax with good friends. Couer d'Alene was good to us and we hope to come back soon!

We didn't want the trip to end, and I was done driving, so we spent the last night in Idaho Falls. We spent the afternoon swimming in the pool with Ashton, eating yummy Chinese food, and walking along the Snake River with Gram and Papa.

This was definitely one of our favorite family trips.
